Chatteris English Facilitator (STEM)

JOB DESCRIPTION:   
We are looking for outgoing, creative and energetic S.T.E.M graduates who are keen to be a part of an international team in Hong Kong. Applicants must be ready to learn, open to new experiences and willing to take on challenges. Collaboration and teamwork are strongly valued within the Chatteris International Graduate Programme. A Chatteris English Facilitator will:
  • enhance the English learning experience of local S.T.E.M students at post-secondary level by supervising projects 
  • provide learning support to students, with a focus on enhancing English proficiency 
  • conduct engaging English activities for students outside of the classroom with an emphasis on developing English language skills associated with S.T.E.M 

WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU? 
  • A university degree (any discipline)
  • High English proficiency
  • An interest in working with children, teenagers or young adults
  • A proactive and creative nature Cultural sensitivity

ADDITIONAL EXPECTATION:
  • Have an interest in teaching English as a global language

  • Have a positive learning attitude and a willingness to develop professionally
  • Be willing to adapt to Chinese culture
  • Have an understanding of the importance of following routines
  • Be able to deal with logistics, documentation and personal time management
  • Be open minded with the ability to work well in a team
  • Be committed to stay in Hong Kong for the duration of the nine month contract

Salary: 16000 HKD per month (approx. 1575 GBP/ 2030 USD)
Holidays: Christmas, Lunar New Year and Easter
