One for One School Programme for Secondary Schools
Starting in 2015-16, we launched our ‘One for One, Adopt a School’ project: where a school with a high intake of less privileged students funds a single CNET, the project will fund a second. The aim is to create an immersive environment where students will gain greatly increased opportunities to interact with native English speakers. Partner schools will work closely with Chatteris on how to effectively deploy the CNETs. They will also engage in an interactive and mutually positive relationship with the sponsor, who will open up further opportunities including mentorships, volunteer conversation groups, and internships. Interested schools may contact us to inquire for more information.

RAVE Reading: Pleasurable Language Learning through Real and Virtual Experiences
This is a two-year reading programme, funded by the Standing Committee on Language Education and Research (SCOLAR). It aims to promote pleasurable reading and language learning amongst students at junior secondary level. Integrating face-to-face classroom instruction and online learning, it focuses on a range of themes and text-types to motivate students’ interest in English learning, enhance their reading and vocabulary skills, and develop their critical think abilities and creativity. RAVE is a 16-hour programme run on Saturdays over a course of six weeks. For more details, please click here.

Other Short Courses
  • We also offer a range of short courses after school, on Saturdays and during the summer to cater for the specific needs and interests of schools and students. Please click here or contact us for more information.

Summer Programmes
  • Hong Kong Reach Out Summer Camp – Each summer we take English education out of the classroom in the form of Hong Kong Reach Out Summer Camp. This 5-day camp offers students from less privileged backgrounds the opportunity to see and experience new activities and places in Hong Kong, to raise their awareness of important environmental issues and increase their exposure and confidence in English. Please download the brochure here to find out more information.
  • Summer English Enhancement Programme – This programme comprises three sub-programmes: primary, secondary and post-secondary. In each, an eight-day course is conducted to fully immerse students in an English-speaking environment. Students will engage in a range of interactive and interesting games, tasks and activities both inside and outside of the classroom to develop their confidence and skills in communicating in English. The programme is offered free of charge and conducted in the last two weeks of August each year. Interested schools may contact us for more information.
  • Summer Leadership Training English Day Camp – This is a one-day camp which usually takes place in August. It provides students with the opportunity to develop their leadership skills through participating in funfair games, treasure hunt and other team-building activities. Students will also learn more about other cultures through interacting with a wide range of CNETs on the day. Interested schools may contact us for more information
